Privacy Policy — YouDub

This policy describes how Outkast Srl processes personal data of users of the YouDub application (web and mobile), in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

2. Data collected
- Account data: email, first and last name, business role, password (stored hashed).
- Uploaded content: video, audio, images, documents users upload in dubbing requests or communication channels.
- Messages: text, attachments, reactions, mentions exchanged in internal channels and direct messages.
- Operational data: requests created, status transitions, assignments, pipeline activity.
- Push notification tokens: identifiers of mobile devices registered for notifications.
- Technical logs: IP address, user agent, access timestamps, application errors (retained for security and debugging).
3. Purposes
- provide the requested services (dubbing request management, communications, file management);
- authenticate the user and protect account access;
- deliver operational notifications;
- comply with legal obligations (e.g. invoicing, contracts);
- prevent abuse, fraud, unauthorised access.
4. Legal basis
- performance of the service contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR), for the platform's core features;
- legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6.1.f GDPR), for security, abuse prevention, technical logs;
- consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), for push notifications (revocable from device settings).
5. Retention
Data is retained for the duration of the contractual relationship and for the 10 years thereafter, where required by Italian tax and civil law. Technical logs are retained for 12 months.
6. Recipients
- technical providers (hosting, transactional email, push notification providers) acting as processors under Art. 28 GDPR;
- competent authorities, if required by court or legal order.
Data is not sold or transferred to third parties for marketing purposes.
7. Transfers outside the EU
The primary infrastructure is hosted in the European Union (Hetzner, Germany). Some ancillary services (Apple APNs, Google Firebase) may involve transfers to third countries, protected by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
8. Data subject rights
Users have the right to access their data, request rectification or erasure, restrict or object to processing, obtain portability, and lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).

9. Security
YouDub adopts adequate technical and organisational measures: encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), hashed password storage, role-based access control, access logs, regular backups.
10. Changes
Any changes will be published on this page with the update date. For material changes, users will be notified by email.
